The Reindeer Farm gets some new additions for the holiday season

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The most wonderful time of the year is almost here, and The Reindeer Farm is ready to celebrate with you with some new additions this holiday season, including a new reindeer.

While the farm is home to Santa’s favorite companions, encountering a reindeer is just the beginning.

Lauren Guess, communications director for the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, shared what reactions she has seen.

“To see everyone’s wonder when they come into the farm, and they see a reindeer for the first time,” Guess says. “They see how big their antlers are – they see just how big and powerful these animals are. It’s an educational piece too.”

It would not be Christmas without Mr. And Mrs. Clause, but the farm doesn’t stop there. There are also seven new pigs, a covered area to pet alpacas, a place to have a snowball fight, a Reindeer Farm Food Truck and so much more.

The farm manager, Aniston Anderson, shares that visitors that come to the reindeer farm are in for a treat.

She says, “People can expect reindeer. We have alpacas, pigs, chickens, bunny rabbits, Christmas. And they can just expect to have a good time.”

This one-of-a-kind experience is the only reindeer farm you will find in the South. It’s also more than just a reindeer farm. Many are calling it a miracle in the making.

Dana Bennett, a volunteer at the reindeer farm says, “New life and birth are always exciting, and the thought that there’s going to be a line of reindeer born here, they don’t have to get them shipped in from Alaska. This is just, you know, this is local, locally grown at its best. ”

The Reindeer Farm is set to open beginning Nov. 17. For more details, visit thereindeerfarm.com/ .
