Police: Drunk driver takes out fence at Bowling Green CVS
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Police in Bowling Green say a drunk driver is responsible for taking out part of fence at a pharmacy near the Western Kentucky University campus.
It happened Saturday afternoon.
Police say the driver, Donald Goodman, 51, crashed his vehicle into the fence at the CVS store on Kentucky Street.
According to an arrest citation, 20 yds. of fence line was damaged. The general manager at CVS told police the repairs would exceed $2,000.
The arrest citation also states that three individuals were standing on the corner taking photos close to the fence when the collision occurred.
Police say they found an open can of beer and an open 40 oz. bottle of beer inside the vehicle.
Moreover, police say Goodman was involved in a hit and run earlier in the day.
Goodman was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree wanton endangerment and operating a motor vehicle under the influence-second offense.
Goodman is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
