KY Guild of Artists and Craftsmen Spring Fair opens in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-More than 30 artists and craftsmen from Kentucky are showcasing their work at the Sloan Convention center Friday night for the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen’s Spring Fair.
A Friday’s free preview of the show there is pottery, paintings, woodwork, stain glass, handmade jewelry and woven baskets. There is also live music at the event.
Many of the artists and craftsmen are from the Southern Kentucky region.
The Executive Director of KGAC talked about why this year they’re having the event in Bowling Green.
“We’ve been trying really hard to get out to the western part [of Kentucky] to have a big show here, to help the artists in this area come together. We want to show the public what we really do with our hands and how creative the artists in Kentucky really are,” said Jeannette Rowlett, Artist and Executive Director at KGAC.
The event runs from Friday to Sunday. It’s free on Friday but will cost $5 this weekend.
