Kentucky State Police involved in fatal Richmond shooting
Kentucky State Police say, the agency was involved in a fatal shooting in Richmond, leaving one person dead, thankfully, no troopers were injured in the shooting.
According to police, the incident happened at the Towneplace Suites, in Richmond yesterday afternoon. According to WKYT, the KSP Special Response Team was at the hotel, attempting to arrest a suspect wanted for multiple warrants.
Police say shots were fired during the encounter, hitting the suspect, he then drove out of the parking lot while wounded, hit a transformer on the side of the roadway and died on scene.
