Bowling Green Commissioners to discuss future of Riverview Golf Course

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Golf will be a topic of discussion at Tuesday’s city commission meeting in Bowling Green.

At the end of the commission’s meeting, city leaders will go into a workshop to discuss the future of the Riverview Golf Course.

Last November, the city owned course was put up for lease, but according to Mayor Bruce Wilkerson, no one was interested.

The Mayor tells WNKY there are too many golf courses in the area and with the game of golf declining nationwide, he is not in favor of the city continuing to maintain and operate the venue.

It’s not clear whether any action will be taken at the workshop.

Tuesday’s commission meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall.
