Bowling Green hosting first ever Downtown District Restaurant Week

Event runs from March 11 through 17.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you’ve been wanting to try some of the local food hot-spots in downtown Bowling Green, this week might be the time to do just that.

From March 11-17, several downtown Bowling Green food establishments will be offering special deals to bring in more customers and encourage people to support the local dining scene.

Every night this week, each participating restaurant will offer a three-course menu for $27 per person.

More casual or lower price-point spots will offer lunch or dinner for two people at the $27 price, with selections from their regular menu.

Other restaurants or food shops will also be offering special deals and promotions for customers this week, just like Little Fox Bakery, which is offering buy one, get one 50 percent off their hot breakfast sandwiches, scones, and muffins.

Alison Taylor, one of the co-owner’s of the bakery, said this is a great chance to not only reconnect with regular customers and attract new ones, but also for local businesses to rally together in helping one another.

“It’s a really good way for all of us local restaurants to support each other and to promote each other as well,” Taylor said. “The more we help each other out, it builds a more solid foundation for all of us. I think that’s really important for local business.”
