New food delivery app arriving in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The popular food delivery app Waitr has come to Bowling Green – marking the debut of the fast-growing restaurant on-demand platform in Kentucky. The delivery service begins this week with the official launch set for Thursday, March 14. The Waitr app lets you order from your favorite Bowling Green restaurant … then sends a Waitr driver to deliver it right to your door for a flat fee of $5.
Waitr expects to grow quickly in Bowling Green. To meet anticipated demand, the company plans to hire 100 people in the area. Waitr will kick off its debut in Bowling Green with special free delivery – anytime you use the app through March 24, you can get your food delivered free by using the promo code “BOWLINGGREEN” at checkout.
Kentucky is the 12th state Waitr has entered; the app has already proven to be successful in more than 250 cities throughout Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, New Mexico and Texas.
The app’s appeal goes directly to those who don’t want to – or cannot – leave their home or office for their favorite restaurant meal. The flat fee on all orders regardless of order size or the customer’s distance from the restaurant makes Waitr stand out among its competitors.
More than 30 Bowling Green-area restaurants have already signed with Waitr, including Shogun Express, El Maguey Mexican Restaurant, El Rincon, San Juan Smokehouse, Spillway Bar & Grill, Krystal’s, The 30 Bird, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Smoothie & Pretzel Co., Sam’s Gyro, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sweet Charlie’s, Tropical Smoothie Café, Donatos, The Night Cap Steakhouse, Lisa’s 5th Street Diner, Larry’s Pizza, Zogam Khai Restaurant, Tacos Mi Jalisco, Auntie Anne’s, Great American Donut Shop, Cinnabon, Gerard’s 1907 Tavern, 643 Sports Bar & Grill, Bombay Bistro, Southern Legends, Doug’s Motor City, The Bistro, White Squirrel, 440 Main, Raw, Mariah’s and Local Taco.
