Grand jury indicts St. Louis woman on murder charge stemming from wreck

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Warren County grand jury Wednesday indicted a St. Louis, Mo. woman accused of traveling the wrong way on Interstate 65 in Bowling Green in December, subsequently crashing head-on into another vehicle and resulting in the death of the other driver.

Cassandra Garrison, 30, is charged with murder in the Dec. 2 crash that killed Amy Eakles, 41, of Alvaton.

Police initially charged Garrison at the Warren District Court level in December after she was taken into custody in Nashville. She was brought back to Warren County and lodged in the jail here Jan. 2. Her bond is set at $500,000.

An arraignment in her case is scheduled for Monday in Warren Circuit Court.
