Kiwanis Club of Caverna holds benefit concert to help children
CAVE CITY, Ky.- The Kiwanis Club of Caverna is raising money for children in need with a benefit concert taking place next month.
Music from rock and roll legends Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis will be performed at the concert by tribute artists.
All of the proceeds from the tribute concert will go to the club’s service projects for the year.
One of those projects will be providing meals for children in need during spring break.
There’s a lot of students in the systems that get meals every day at school, but that may be all the meals they get regularly. So over spring break they don’t have that opportunity. We want to fill that gap,” said Chris Summers, public relations committee chair at Kiwanis Club of Caverna.
The concert will take place on April 12 at the Cave City convention Center. Tickets are on sale for $15.
