Bowling Green City Schools welcome the largest preschool enrollment yet
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A certain school district welcomed young students in for preschool Monday, and it happens to be the largest enrollment yet.
Specifically, 138 three- and four-year-old students are starting the school year. Five preschool classes are taking place at T.C. Cherry Elementary, and one at The Foundry.
Classes at T.C. Cherry operate two days per week for each session, and The foundry operates 4 days per week.
District staff say preschool is a great first step in early child development, and they’re glad to see so many students wanting to take advantage of this resource.
“I am very glad. We know that early childhood education is one of the best ways to help our students be successful later on. It’s great that we’ve had such a large enrollment and so many students can benefit from this,” said Bowling Green City Schools director of instructional programs Elise Beth Brown.
It’s not too late to register your student for preschool. For more information, call T.C. Cherry Elementary at 270-746-2230, or visit the school’s website.
