Lockers can once again be used in the Glasgow Independent School district

GLASGOW, Ky. – As of now, students at Glasgow High School can expect a change from last year’s school year.

For the 2021 school year, lockers are once again available for students to utilize as of now. Last year, lockers were not used at all, and students used personal bags to carry their belongings.

Because of safety strategies the school has in place, students will be able to use lockers once again. Freshman orientation will take place between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Students can find out where their lockers are at this event.

Glasgow high school principal Amy Allen says she’s glad to see another aspect of school return, all while keeping the students as safe as possible.

“We’re following the safety guidelines that the state sets out for us. We will be allowing our students to bring in water bottles, and we’re going to have some water refill stations for them again this year. We have a lot of different mitigation strategies that we want to put into place in order to keep our Scotties safe,” Allen said.

For parents, guardians, and visitors, identification is required at all of the schools in this district.
