Traffic stop results in felony drug arrest

GLASGOW, Ky. – Glasgow police made a felony arrest Saturday following a traffic stop.
Police stopped a care on Scottsville Road and an officer said he received consent to search the vehicle, according to a press release from Glasgow Police Department.
The driver of the car, Vickie Wix, 53, gave permission to search the vehicle where an officer said he found hydrocodone and confirmed that Wix did not have a prescription for the drug, according to the release.
Wix, of Adolphus, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance first offense, possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, rear plate not illuminated and prescription controlled substance not in proper container first offense.
She was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center and released on her own recognizance.
