Wreck shuts down road in Edmonson County

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – A one-vehicle wreck in the 400 block of Wingfield Church Road Saturday in Edmonson County resulted in the road being shut down for two hours.

The Wingfield Fire Department responded to the wreck and shut down the road while the firefighters cleaned up after a vehicle spilled oil and gas on to the road, according to a Facebook post from the Wingfield Fire Department.

Anyone who travels through this area should use caution if it rains because the hill side could be slick.
