Teacher Field Trip Expo to help with field trip planning, July 22

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- As students return to school this fall, field trips will make a comeback. With all the choices of attractions, the National Corvette Museum is planning an event to make the choice easier.

The Teacher Field Trip Expo will take place at the National Corvette Museum Thursday July 22. This is where local teachers can learn more about local attractions and find out what is offered for student trips.

A plethora of local attractions will be represented at this event, including Lost River Cave, Chaney’s Dairy Barn, the Bowling Green Hot Rods and WKU’s Hardin Planetarium just to name a few.

While field trips are fun, planning where to go can be a trial, and this event is seen as a way to make that process one step easier.

“We wanted to take some of the pressure off them as far as when they want to organize field trips or looking at their standards and seeing what the community has to offer them as far as achieving those standards,” said National Corvette Museum education coordinator Deb Howard.

Teachers will have free admission with a form of school identification to the event in the conference center and to tour multiple attractions.
