Aviation career event taking place at airport July 17
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-For those interested in the field of aviation, the chance to learn more about taking your career sky-high is coming.
In conjunction with the Warren County Public Library summer reading program, the Aviation Heritage Park will hold the Aviators and Airports program at the Bowling Green-Warren County Regional Airport on July 17.
At this event, guest speakers will talk more about the aviation field in general, from piloting to mechanical work, and airport jobs just to name a few. This is to raise some interest in the field of aviation.
Cara Pitchford from the Aviation Heritage Park says now more than ever, the aviation field needs more fresh faces.
“During Covid, a lot of pilots took early retirement and were offered package deals. There’s a shortage in the aviation industry because of all of those retirements. Big jobs, nice money, and you know that that is a job that you can enjoy. It’s like a hobby, you love doing it,” Pitchford said.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on July 17. Information on how to register can be found here.
