Glasgow barn destroyed by fire; several chickens killed

GLASGOW, Ky.- A fire destroyed a barn Monday night, killing several chickens inside.

The blaze broke out at 57 Split Ridge Road around 7:45 p.m.

25 firefighters from four different volunteer fire departments responded.

According to fire officials with the Temple Hill Volunteer Fire Department, the barn, along with a tractor and a trailer were destroyed.

Several chickens located in the barn died as a result.

Investigators believe the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction.
