Greenview applies to establish freestanding emergency department on Park Street

Tristar Greenview

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital has filed an application with the state to operate a freestanding emergency department on the first floor of Graves Gilbert Clinic on Park Street just steps away from The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

In 2017, Greenview obtained a certificate of need from the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services to establish an ambulatory care center on Lovers Lane. The following year, Greenview notified the cabinet of its intent to operate the clinic as a freestanding emergency department, according to the filing with the state.

Greenview is now asking to relocate and operate an emergency department in 12,000 square feet on the first floor of 201 Park Street. The space Greenview originally planned to operate its freestanding emergency department in 2018 is now being used for another purpose and no longer available, according to the filing.

Greenview lists renovation costs at $300 per square foot at the Graves Gilbert site.

The state received Greenview’s latest application March 2.
