Glasgow High School is named one of the best schools in the country

GLASGOW,Ky.-Glasgow High School has been named a model school this year by the international center for leadership and education.  It is one of six high schools across the country to receive the award.

It means that Glasgow High is now in the top 10 percent of all schools in the country.

The ICLE looks back several years at each school’s accomplishments. They judge the schools on three main categories: rigor, relationships and relevance.

“There’s nothing else that you can do unless you have a relationship with students. That’s our number one focus with our students,” said Dr. Amy Allen who is the Glasgow High School Principal.

Glasgow High School will share its journey and best practices at ICLE’s annual model school conference in June in Washington D.C.
