Med Center Health 10K Classic generates $13,000 for cancer patients

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Med Center Health announced Wednesday the amount of money that was raised for the fight against cancer during the hospital’s 10K Classic last year.

$13,000 was raised during the race.

All of the money generated will be donated to benefit cancer patients in South Central Kentucky.

The $13,000 will be split evenly between the American Cancer Society and the Medical Center Cancer Treatment Center.

The donation will be used at the Cancer Treatment Center to assist with transportation expenses for cancer patients who sometimes travel far distances to receive treatment at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.

Plans are underway for the running of the 40th annual Med Center Health 10K Classic on September 21, 2019.
