Warren County Regional Jail restarts inmate work program

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-The Warren County Regional Jail has recently started up the inmate work program again after a long hiatus.

On March 30, Warren County Regional Jail started back two of the five inmate crews working in the county for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

After meeting all the requirements by the Kentucky Department of Corrections and receiving a review from the local health department, the jail has put two crews back to work.

Warren County Jailer Stephen Harmon says in just the short time the inmates have been working, a huge difference has been made.

There are plans being submitted and pending approval from the Kentucky Department of Corrections for two more crews to be put back to work in the coming weeks.
