Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky receives UPS grant, prepares to move

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- A local non-profit is experiencing a positive string of events, all while the organization is preparing for a big move.
Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky will be moving from its current location in Fountain Square Park to the Badgett Business Center in Crossings Boulevard.
The move is to provide more space for socially distanced meetings. To add to the good news, the organization has also received a $7,300 grant from UPS, which will help provide educational programs for kindergarten through 12th grade local students.
Brand experience coordinator Emily Harlan said this positive trend of events for the organization came at the right time, especially with how the pandemic has affected non-profits.
“As a non-profit in South-Central Kentucky, we need those funds. Getting the UPS grant has been very beneficial to us. It’s a little over $7,000, and that money will go very far for us,” Harlan said.
The organization is expected to move at the end of April. They are in need of bookshelves and cabinets for storage, and are taking donations of these items.
