Library now heading Capitol Arts center

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-A venue in downtown Bowling Green is now stepping into a new chapter.

The Warren County Public Library is now in charge of the Capitol Arts theater in Fountain Square Park. This announcement was made recently at Warren County Fiscal Court.

First district magistrate Doug Gorman spoke very highly of this new venture, saying the opportunities to bring the venue back to life are endless. Opportunities like live music and school plays just to name a few.

Another goal is to have the venue host events more frequently. Gorman said the public library has great initiative to branch out in the community, and he’s thrilled to see where this takes the theater.

“We’re very fortunate that we have a forward-thinking library that wants to be about everything and things that can make a difference in people’s lives. I’m excited about what the library is going to do. It’s one of the crowned jewels we have here in town. We’ve been very fortunate to have the people we have,” Gorman said.

For the next step, the library will work on getting the venue cleaned and ready for a new experience.
