Broadway United Methodist Church to have Easter service at the Ballpark

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The Bowling Green Ball Park will be the site of an Easter Sunday service as a Bowling Green church strives to offer an in-person worship and fellowship experience while still following COVID safety procedures.

Broadway United Methodist Church will have an Easter service at Bowling Green Ballpark at 10:30 a.m. This is to ensure that everyone who wants to attend the in-person service can use the wide space to social distance.

Senior pastor Adam Shourds said Easter Sunday services are very packed, and it can be hard to make space even without COVID. The ballpark will allow many people while keeping a safe distance apart.

Shourds said he’s very appreciative of the Bowling Green Hot Rods for the use of their facility, and it’s a testament to Bowling Green’s family-oriented atmosphere.

“We just want to be part of this community, and I feel like the Hot Rods are the same way. They literally have been awesome. It’s just a fun environment, a fun space, their staff is great and we really appreciate that. It’s an asset to our community,” Shourds said.

Everyone is invited, and there is no registration needed.
