Chocolate Festival raises money for Hospice of Southern Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – South Central Kentucky residents gathered at the Sloan Convention Center on Sunday for the annual Chocolate Festival.

All of the eating went to a good cause, Hospice of Southern Kentucky who provides support that enables the terminally ill to spend their final days in a pain-free and dignified home environment.

The event included over 30 vendors with a whole lot of fun for the whole family.

Other activities included a silent auction and celebrity cookie eating contest that WNKY’s Kristy Steward and Matthew White both participated in.

In the end, Kristy outlasted Matthew by eating six cookies in two minutes compared to Matthew’s two.

This year’s theme was the circus, which featured an afternoon of nostalgic fun under the big top.

Organizers say they are thankful for the community and their support for yet another successful year.
