Barren County Schools celebrate National School Breakfast Week

GLASGOW, Ky. – Breakfast is commonly known as the most important meal of the day, and local school districts agree.

The week of March 8-13 is National School Breakfast week, and the Barren County School District is used the week to emphasize the importance of a healthy breakfast.

Each day had a different theme. Thursday March 11 was throwback Thursday, where students and staff dressed up from their favorite decade. This is to represent how a healthy breakfast is known to improve memory.

This comes as the Barren County Schools are able to offer breakfast in the classroom, which district staff say will be great for the student’s success.
