Chapel Hill Pod School provides different learning structure
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Some students may have more success in smaller and less common core type settings, and there’s a school in Bowling Green which provides just that.
The Chapel Hill Pod School is a small private school in Bowling Green. A pod school, also referred to as a micro-school limits the student population to encourage more individualized instruction.
The maximum class size is 15, and according to head of the school Kelli Linkis, this is a unique learning environment to Bowling Green, these types of classrooms are typically popular in the west coast.
The classes are built around the students working at their own pace. Linkis says she has seen a lot of success from students.
The school is in the process of planning summer camp events, one involving stem related activities.
