Veteran community receives a set of wheels for rides to VA clinic
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green veteran community received a new resource Monday morning.
The Veterans Alliance Center unveiled their new vehicle Monday. It will be used to provide transportation to those needing to get to the Bowling Green VA clinic in the Fairview Plaza shopping center.
This van came from the help of American Legion Post 23 and holds up to seven people. The vehicle will be based out of the Veterans Alliance Center, also in Fairview plaza.
Bob Wilson of the Kentucky Veterans Brigade said this vehicle is another way the veteran community can expand the services they offer even further.
“The veteran community here in Bowling Green is extremely strong. Every veteran or every organization here wants to get together, help each other, and share resources. It means we’re thriving, and we’re going to continue to do so,” Wilson said.
