The Medical Center at Bowling Green gives its 40,000th Covid vaccination

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The Medical Center at Bowling Green celebrated a medical milestone Friday, as more and more people are stepping up to get vaccinated.

Karen Kay, a Bowling Green resident who recently moved from Colorado, was the 40,000th person to receive the Covid-19 vaccine through Med Center Health.

Vice president corporate support services Melinda Joyce said this milestone exceeded her expectations of where she thought the vaccination numbers would be at this point in time.

After nearly a full year of being in this pandemic, Joyce says the 40,000th vaccination is an encouraging sign as the world fights against this virus.
