Search warrant results in drug trafficking arrest

GLASGOW, Ky. – Following the execution of a search warrant Friday, Barren River Drug Task Force investigators charged a Barren County man with drug trafficking.

Investigators searched a home at 10391 Old Bowling Green Road where Michael Clayton Lowe, 46, was living, according to a release from the task force.

Investigators said they found several baggies of suspected crystal methamphetamine that were packaged for distribution on the kitchen table along with digital scales, drug paraphernalia and cash, according to the release.

Detectives also discovered a loaded firearm, pills and other packaging material in the residence, according to the release. A large bag of marijuana was found in an outbuilding behind the residence.

Lowe was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance greater or equal to 2 grams of meth enhanced due to the firearm, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

Lowe was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
