Horse Cave man accused of assaulting his mother and police officer
A 30-year-old man us behind bars, accused of assaulting his own mother and then an officer who tried to arrest him.
Justin Lee Borders is charged with domestic violence assault, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and terroristic threatening.
According to officers in Horse Cave, they responded to a home in the 800 block of East Side Drive.
When they arrived, officers say they noticed his mother on the floor, complaining of injuries from an incident involving her son.
According to an arrest report, Borders resisted and fought with officers, kicking one of them in the abdomen.
As a result of the altercation between Borders and his mother, both were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Once at the hospital, officers say borders threatened the officers lives with deadly harm.
Borders was lodged in the Hart County Jail where he remains.
