UPDATE: Tennessee escaped inmates captured in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Law enforcement officers are searching for two men who escaped custody from the Macon County (Tenn.) Jail in Lafayette, Tenn.

Joseph Whittemore and Jeremy Fuller both escaped from the jail in Lafayette Sunday night, according to a release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

The two men are accused of stealing a van that has been located in Allen County in Adolphus, according to the sheriff’s office.

Macon County is adjacent to Allen County with Adolphus being just a few miles from Lafayette, Tenn.

These two men are believed to be in the Allen County area. Sheriff Jeff Cooke is urging residents to lock all outbuildings and especially vehicles.
