Mectalfe County students return to in-person learning after COVID closure and fall break
EDMONTON, Ky.- Some students in our area have returned to class after fall break as of Monday October 12.
In the Metcalfe County School District, the schools switched to all virtual learning the week of September 28 to Oct. 2 before fall break. This was due to some staff members testing positive for COVID-19.
Now that fall break has ended, the district has returned to in-person instruction for the students who chose that learning method. Students can once again take advantage of the innovative class settings teachers have made.
Students are also masked, and school staff say they have been happy to have gotten so much cooperation from students and parents.
“A lot of our teachers are using creative and innovative lessons. That’s one of the things we’ve been doing. We’ve been providing opportunities for our students while keeping them safe at school. That’s what we want. We want to follow the recommendations and create and environment for learning and opportunity for our kids,” Graham said.
