Deadline to complete the 2020 Census extended

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The deadline to fill out the 2020 Census has now been extended.

The new deadline to fill out the census is Oct. 31. This comes from a judge ruling that the deadline should be extended to give people more time to get it done.

As of now, the self-response rate in Kentucky is 68%, and 67% in Warren County. This doesn’t include follow up census workers going door to door.

Warren County Complete Count chairwoman Sue Parrigan says it’s so important to take advantage of this extension, especially in this growing community.

“Bowling Green-Warren County has been growing over the past 10 years. For the past five or six years, we’ve been the fastest growing city in the state. We could stand, if we get a good count, to gain representation at the state and federal level. More is better when it comes to representation at our capitols,” Parrigan said.
