COVID claims popular, local pizzeria

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Larry’s Pizza announced overnight on the company’s Facebook page that the popular eatery and family fun center closed its doors.
“With a heavy heart, we say goodbye,” the post reads. “Unfortunately COVID-19 was just too much for us to overcome. The buffet business was affected more than most, and while we tried to sustain some sort of business, the drop in business was just too much.
“Also with lower business, it made it so much more difficult to offer a good variety of fresh pizzas, salads, etc. We found our product getting worse, and no longer able to see happy families enjoying our establishment,” the post reads.
Larry’s was more than a pizzeria. It offered party rooms and a large arcade where people could play throwback arcade games such as Pac-Man and other games like ski ball. The restaurant also provided live entertainment.
“May we all stay safe, and the world returns back to normal soon,” the post reads.
