Rich Pond Elementary breaks ground

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Groundwork is now taking place on a new local school building.

The work is being done on the Rich Pond Elementary School building, which will sit right behind the existing school.  Right now, the ground where the new building will be is being leveled.

There’s also a dry well that will take water off the site. After this is all said and done, the actual building can be constructed.

The new Rich Pond Elementary needed because of the ever-increasing size of the student population. District officials like Warren County school district chief financial officer Chris McIntyre said he can’t wait to see the end result.

“We have a lot of construction projects going on right now. We take great pride in our facilities and the opportunities they provide for our kids. We can’t wait for this one. We’re excited for the Rich Pond community,” McIntyre said.
