One dies in Barren County wreck, child injured

GLASGOW, Ky. – One person died and a small child was injured following an early morning wreck Thursday on the Cumberland Parkway in Glasgow.
Kentucky State Police were notified about the wreck just before 7 a.m., Trooper Daniel Priddy said.
The wreck occurred at the 14 mile marker, and the parkway was shut down in both directions while police investigated.
The collision occurred when a white passenger car crossed the median into oncoming traffic and was hit head on by a tractor trailer truck.
Police have not yet released any names.
