Two Warren County schools take education into the great outdoors

ALVATON, Ky.- On days with good weather, students may often ask if they can have class outside.

Warren County students are getting that experience firsthand.

Two Warren County elementary schools have recently been equipped with outdoor classrooms. While other Warren County Schools have already had outdoor classrooms, the two newest are at Alvaton Elementary and Natcher Elementary.

Here, students will learn a variety of subjects, including sustainability and how food grows.

One student Kasen Arnett said he’s looking forward to working with plants.

“I like doing this stuff because my great grandpa has done it for a number of years and it makes me feel happy,” Arnett said.
