Man accused of multiple domestic violence felonies

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies responding to a domestic violence call Wednesday afternoon arrested a Bowling Green man on multiple charges.

Deputies who responded to the call for help on Mt. Zion Road were told the suspect left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. Deputies found Johnny Sowders on Richardsville Road where they said he fled a short distance in his vehicle and on foot, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Sowders was charged with fist-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first-degree strangulation, third-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree fleeing or evading in a motor vehicle, first-degree fleeing or evading on foot and operating on a suspended or revoked license, according to the release.
