Wednesday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Cases of the coronavirus in south central Kentucky continue to rise.

As of Wednesday evening, there are 4,540 cases in the area covered by the Barren River District Health Department and Allen County.

In all of the counties combined 93 people have died from the virus and 3,725 individuals have fully recovered.

Total cases since Tuesday:

Warren County: 2,3876 (+54)

Logan County: 382 (+8)

Barren County: 447 (+3)

Butler County: 313 (+3)

Allen County: 236 (+2)

Simpson County: 187 (+5)

Hart County: 128 (+3)

Edmonson County: 127

Metcalfe County: 80 (+4)

As of Wednesday evening, 627 new cases were reported for the entire state of Kentucky. That brings the total number of cases to 40,299. Governor Andy Beshear announced that 12 more Kentuckians died due to the virus. 9,223 have recovered.
