Cave City Police Department Prepares to Conduct Safety Checkpoints

CAVE CITY, Ky. – The Cave City Police Department will have traffic safety check points during their “Drive sober or get pulled over” campaign. The campaign will start Friday, August 21st and last until September 7th.
The check points will take place between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. and will be clearly marked. During the checkpoints, officers will be enforcing laws related to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They will also look for license, registration and any seat belt or child restraint violations.
The following are the locations for the traffic safety checkpoints:
- 400 block Mammoth Cave St.
- 800 block Mammoth Cave Rd.
- Old Lexington Rd. and Cemetery Rd.
- Grinstead Mill Rd. and Blair Rd.
- Old Horse Cave Rd. and County Line
- Happy Valley Rd. and Estes Rd.
- 400 block of North Dixie Highway
- Louisville Rd and Happy Valley Rd.
