Historic RailPark & Train Museum readies Save the Depot campaign

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Historic RailPark and Train Museum is known as a local attraction.

It’s also a historic landmark that’s helped Bowling Green become the city it is today.

However, it relies on the community’s investment to thrive and maintain its legacy.

Which is why next week the museum will launch a unique campaign.

With the new year for 2019, the Historic RailPark and Train Museum is excited to announce their “Save the Depot” campaign.

The campaign is a throwback to the 1940s and World War II.

Throughout the year you’ll see nostalgic things thrown into the different events they do.

Which will be a representation of their Save the Depot campaign.

The campaign is to market their fundraising efforts to keep the depot in operation and keep the building in the condition that it’s in.

It’s also so they can be able to operate as a viable tourist attraction in Bowling Green.

The Director, Jamie Johnson, says the community plays a huge role in making that possible.

Johnson also says the campaign is a nod to the new “Railroads Go to War” exhibit that’s in the works for this fall.

She also says expect to see monthly World War II propaganda calls to action.

This is to encourage the community’s attendance and support at events this year.
