Man in stolen car wrecks during pursuit, runs away barefooted

GLASGOW, Ky. – Barren County Sheriff’s deputies hope to identify a man who fled from them first in a car and then on foot Thursday morning.

At about 10:25 a.m. Thursday, a Barren County Sheriff’s deputy observed a stolen Black Honda CR-V traveling on Edmonton Road. The vehicle had previously been involved in a pursuit with Kentucky State Police and other law enforcement agencies and was last seen in the area of Edmonton Road.

After a deputy activated his emergency equipment, the vehicle began to flee once again. The Honda traveled onto Columbia Avenue and struck several vehicles, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle then traveled up an embankment striking a front porch of a residence and then a fence before coming to a stop.

The driver of the vehicle then ran away and police didn’t find him. The driver is a white man who was wearing a gray shirt, tan pants, white ball cap and was barefoot.
