Franklin cancels downtown summer concert series

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Although life is beginning to return to normal just a little bit, local concerts are continuing to be canceled or postponed, including several in Simpson County.
Franklin-Simpson Renaissance has decided to postpone the summer nights concert series for June and July.
The suspension is due to the guidelines and requirements for social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is the first time the summer series has been postponed in the last 25 years.
And if there are no objections from government officials in august, there are plans to host two concerts on the lawn of the Simpson County Courthouse.
