Longtime City Council member begins term as Glasgow’s new Mayor
GLASGOW, Ky.- Wednesday is the first full day on the job for Glasgow’s new mayor.
Harold “MD” Armstrong was sworn in Tuesday, along with new City Council members.
This past Election Day, Armstrong defeated incumbent Mayor, Dick Doty, by just 115 votes.
Armstrong previously served on the Glasgow City Council for 16 years.
Armstrong told WNKY after he won the election that he was looking forward to having Glasgow residents have a say in city government.
