CDC: Flu activity in Kentucky is high

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The year 2018 may be coming to a close, but flu season is in full swing, including in Kentucky.

The Centers for Disease Control has released the latest numbers.

Flu activity is now high in nine states: Kentucky, Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico and South Carolina.

Seven states and Puerto Rico have moderate flu activity.

Sadly, 11 children have died from flu-related complications since this year’s flu season began.
