Glasgow Burger King employee diagnosed with Hepatitis A

GLASGOW, Ky.- A Burger King employee in Glasgow has been diagnosed with Hepatitis A.

According to a news release from the restaurant’s owner, JPL Management, the employee was diagnosed with Hepatitis A on Wednesday. The employee notified management, which then alerted the health department.

The team member had not worked at the James Rogers Road restaurant since Thursday.

As a result, management provided access to Hepatitis A vaccinations to all employees, discarded previously opened food containers and hired an outside company to sanitize and disinfect the entire restaurant, according to the release.

The restaurant is closed Friday and will be closed again Saturday as the cleaning takes place. The restaurant should reopen on Sunday.
