The Salvation Army initiates White Flag Night all week

Bowling Green, KY – Temperatures are expected to drop tonight and tomorrow night.
That’s why we have an important reminder for those who are without shelter and in need of a warm place to go.
One non-profit organization is not only offering a warm escape from the cold but a place to lay your head as well.
Beginning last Friday, the Salvation Army kicked off its White Flag Night for those without shelter in the community.
Whenever temperatures drop to 35 degrees or below, White Flag Night is initiated.
During White Flag Night, staff will be providing shelter and a mat that can be slept on in the dining room.
There is a pre-registration process that is required, which includes a background check on any individuals requesting services.
According to Major Stephen Story, White Flag Night will run the rest of the week.
White Flag Night has already assisted many people on Friday, Saturday and today.
If you know of anyone in need of white flag night, you’re urged to call 270-843-3485 or stop by.
