Man who held police at bay in downtown-area home is arrested

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Police surrounded 625 East Eighth Ave. after a man who was wanted on several warrants locked himself inside of the house and refused to come out, police department spokesman Officer Ronnie Ward said.
Police began negotiating with the man at around 4 p.m. Tuesday using a public address system to talk to him. By 5:17 p.m. he came out of the house and was taken into custody.
Police identified the man as Justin J. Eversole, 30, who was served with a probation violation warrant when he was taken into custody, according to his arrest citation.
Another man who was initially inside the home with Eversole, David Hulman, 33, was also arrested on a failure to appear warrant. He did not stay inside the home when police arrived.
Both were lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
