Group opposing upcoming ATV event speaks at fiscal court

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Residents living near or along Glen Lily Road, attending the Warren County fiscal court meeting this morning to voice opposition to an upcoming ATV event.

The organizer, Gary Ausbrooks and around 18 other residents appeared to make an appeal to magistrates on why the ATV event shouldn’t be in the Glen Lily Road area.

Those residents have concerns over noise, pollution, and possible environmental dangers.

The event is scheduled for May 16 and 17.

Ausbrooks said he’s glad to see the movement is getting support.

“We’re so excited about how the community is coming together to stand in unity against this,” Ausbrooks said.

Ausbrooks said he’s not opposed to the idea of Warren County and Bowling Green having the ATV event, he just doesn’t want it in the area near Glen Lily Road.

Fiscal court did not take any action.
