Lady Tops to face Charlotte in C-USA Tournament Quarterfinals
DALLAS – At long last, the wait is over. The Western Kentucky Lady Hilltoppers will take on number 6 seed Charlotte in the Conference USA Quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. CST.
It’ll be the first game of the Conference USA Tournament for the Lady Tops, who secured a first-round bye as the #3 seed after finishing the regular season in a tie with Old Dominion for second place in the conference standings.
The Lady Hilltoppers won both of their contests against Charlotte this season, defeating the 49ers on the road in January and again a few weeks ago on March 5th at Diddle Arena.
The Lady Hilltoppers have a 10-2 record in the C-USA Tournament and have claimed three championships in five seasons as a member. Since 1983, the Lady Toppers are 69-24 in conference tournaments and 30-4 in quarterfinals. In addition, Western Kentucky is 4-0 in conference tournament games against Charlotte.
Thursday afternoon’s contest will be broadcast on ESPN+.
